Design

Process

Build Stage

At this point, the building begins and the project can be monitored by us. Specialist contractors have been selected and relationships have been built to ensure clear communication and a high standard of work. Such specialists include; landscapers, electricians, carpenters, irrigation, and water features.

Post Build Support

Once your garden has been completed, we offer the option of having a bespoke maintenance plan provided to help you gain a greater understanding of your garden and how to care for it.

Local gardeners and can also be recommended.

Seasonal visits can also be arranged to ensure the garden continues flourishing for many years to come.

Planting and Lighting Plans

The next phase of design allows the incorporation of lighting and planting design.

Planting plans are made specifically for your site, considering light, soil, personal taste and requirements. Plants are sourced from specialist nurseries, which offer a broad variety of species and maturity, which are generally unavailable to the general public.

Lighting allows a new life for the garden, creating views and vistas throughout the space. A way to emphasise features and continue appreciating your new design after the sun has set and winter has arrived.

Project Stages

The process begins with a Free Consultation; this allows an understanding of the site alongside your preferences and requirements.
A fee proposal will then be sent. If accepted,  the design process will begin.
This section illustrates the stages in place to help you become familiar with how the project will be carried out.
Every client, every space, and every brief is completely unique;  a bespoke design is formed around these factors accordingly.

Presentation Plan

When the final design has been agreed, this enables a contractor to price the build and understand the scope of the construction process. This phase includes the specifics of levels, dimensions, materials and features.

At this stage, any elements within the garden are sourced and bespoke elements can be designed i.e. pergolas, water features, fencing, sculptures, garden rooms etc.

Conceptual Design Proposal

The next stage in the process is a presentation of initial concepts and mood images; these demonstrate the essence of the design. During this meeting ideas are communicated both visually and verbally. Any feedback is then discussed and amendments are made as appropriate.

Site Survey and Analysis

The first stage in the design process involves a detailed discussion to find out what you hope to achieve and how you wish to use your garden. During the first official visit, a site survey and analysis will be recorded so all parameters are understood before the design phase begins.

As well as establishing your objectives, during the initial meeting Rainey will find out about your individual likes and dislikes, your budget and how much time you are able to devote to the garden's ongoing upkeep, so that she can design a garden that meets your needs. You will then be asked to fill in a questionairre which allows a greater insight into what you are looking for.
